Window Surveyor/ installer (Ref. CW Win/Ins 2)

Surveyor/ Installation person– Carnforth Windows

Suited for somebody looking to develop there role within a forward thinking family business. Ideally suited for a motivated individual looking for the opportunity to be rewarded well in all aspects of their work.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week (approximate)
Salary: Competitive (dependant upon experience)

JOB SUMMARY

• Measuring existing windows / prepared openings and then inputting the data using our procedures into the microsoft software/ paperwork for production.
• Assist Fitters when required and provide necessary information for accurate install.
• Provide accurate information to the customer in a professional and friendly manner.
• Installing double glazing windows

JOB CONTENT
Key Tasks:

• To arrange access to the contract properties.
• To survey windows and doors taking into account contract programme, style, specification, size and location all of which should comply with the technical package specification.
• To input the survey results into the Companies surveying paperwork.
• Identify any specific site issues and record them on the survey software, also make the Manager aware.
• Operate within the Health and Safety Policy. .
• Comply with each contracts requirements and procedures, relating to survey work.

Health, Safety & Environment

• To have a full understanding of environmental objectives and targets you directly impact, and ensure that the procedures set in place to attain these targets are followed.

Knowledge & Skill Levels

• Good knowledge of both PVC-U industry and its products.
• Good knowledge of the building industry and construction techniques.
• Ability to analyse situations and make recommendations.
• To be able to read and understand construction drawings.
• Able to work on own initiative.

Performance Standards and Goals

• Keep remakes at or below 0.5% per month.
• Ensure all admin is completed accurately and on time.
• To develop in the competencies outlined in the last performance appraisal
• To go through any training as agreed in the appraisal or during the year, and show improved competence and knowledge and understanding as a result.
• To ensure that at any one time that dress, workspace, presentation of car and any equipment communicate the professionalism of Carnforth Windows.
• Provide a high level of customer service
